Proposal for Indigo DAO Voting Procedures

So happy to see the progress of this DAO… Lets do it !

I also had trouble understanding the use of shards, but I’ll bet we will have lots more discussion about this aspect as we move forward.

Again very well thought out. I like the idea of staggering the first 3 moderator so as to not have more than one role to fill at a time. I wonder if these 3 have been selected yet or if we will be voting on this.

Very solid procedures. Well thought out.

I think the Temperature Check is really an excellent idea. A good way to ensure that those with good ideas but not money to throw away can have confidence to make their contribution with reduced fear of losing their INDY.

clear and concise, but I have a few suggestions for word substitutions:

Also, have a question about oracles: is there any oracle available to be used by Indigo Protocol already? Are you planning to use Charli3 or something else? Will there be more than one oracle used? Will this be determined by community voting?

Also, I very much like the idea of non-members being able to submit temp-check proposals!

Thank you for taking the time to proof read everything in detail.

Either word is fine in this context.

Text is more applicable in this case, because not always a Text Proposal will contain policies.

Updated is correct in this sentence. Audit is mentioned in the sentence above.

Thanks for pointing out these grammatical errors. Because they’re not substantive changes, we’ll leave them as is so we don’t have to do another vote. In the future if the Procedures are updated we’ll also fix these errors.

Charli3 is currently in the process of updating their protocol to support Indigo. We anticipate that Charli3 will be ready for Indigo to use shortly.

Each iAsset defines its own Oracle source. The DAO votes on any changes to iAssets.

Would Indigo Protocol be ready for a new oracle as it is, or would it require code changes to adapt to it? I reckon the implementation (API?) of different oracles will differ, or is there some standard?

Indigo follows a standard and is Oracle agnostic. It’s up to Oracles to support Indigo. If Oracles use a different standard then we’ll review it and consider upgrading Indigo to support it.

I like the idea of the Temperature Check (p. 2) within the forum. Great way to prescreen concepts efficiently.

This Temp Check & Actual Proposal is a really good process and could be adopted by Project Catalyst also if there ever will be Project Catalyst Improvement Proposals and parameter changes done by the community.

Great feats Indigo is achieving in this stage of it’s growth. This will be a process to remember in the entire history of Cardano and a community first approach of ecosystem products. I will ride this till wherever it takes me.
