First, a Report on V1
As we near the end of the testing period for PoCoP V1, which was introduced here:
Approved in Proposal #57 on August 5, 2024, it’s time to review its progress.
The initiative began on December 1, 2024. Over the first three months, we recorded the following:
183 pieces of content created by 25 creators, with the majority shared on X.com.
Here are the detailed statistics:
month | views | distributed INDY :
2024-12 | 53002 | 422.487805
2025-01 | 44197 | 247.62
2025-02 | 33235 | 500
Total: 130'434 views; 1'170.107805 INDY distributed.
This views stats is only concerning X views. ( We did not monitor others platforms at the moment. )
It need to be readed as “December contents reach ~53k views”.
As additional data, the website pocop.indigodao.org recorded 3,760 unique visitors over the past 30 days, according to Cloudflare analytics, with the majority originating from the United States.
We observe a downward trend in views over time, though it’s worth noting that older content may continue to accumulate views beyond the initial reporting period. These statistics were compiled as of March 3, 2025.
The current month (March 2025) is the final one unless the initiative is renewed.
We believe PoCoP has proven effective, and with the DAO’s approval, we propose continuing and enhancing the Indigo PoCoP program.
Proposed Evolutions
We suggest a new duration for this initiative of 1 year.
Dynamic Monthly Distribution Amount
Instead of a fixed allocation of 500 INDY per month, we propose a dynamic approach with 3 pools of 500 INDY/month at the beginning:
- If all INDY for a given month is fully distributed for a given pool, add 50 INDY to the next month’s pool.
- If the monthly amount is not fully distributed for a given pool, subtract 50 INDY from the next month’s pool.
The 3 pools are :
- 1 Youtube content
- 2 Educational content ( ie. how to stake/CDP, tutorials on gov system, how to use DeFi )
- 3 Others
This mechanism would support growth by rewarding increased participation while allowing the initiative to scale down if activity declines. For example, if every month from now is fully distributed, the monthly allocation could reach 1,050 INDY by March 2026 for a each pool. We believe this gradual, organic growth allows us to monitor and adjust as needed.
If every pool are empty each month and participation rate always growing, we will have a spending amount of 3’150INDY in total for March 2026, last month of this proposal.
Limit on Posts per User per Month
To prioritize quality over quantity, we propose capping each user at 6 posts per month per pool. If a user submits more than 6 pieces of content for a given pool, only the 6 highest-rated submissions will be considered. This should encourage creators to focus on producing high-quality work.
Karma System Adjustments
As a reminder of the current system: if a user’s best content in a given month earns a score of 7 (out of 10), they receive a 7% karmic bonus applied to their rewards the following month. This bonus accumulates over time.
To balance the playing field:
We propose a hard cap of 50% on the karmic bonus to prevent veteran users from gaining an excessive advantage over newcomers.
To support newcomers, we suggest adding a 10% karmic bonus for their first month.
Conclusion
With these adjustments, we believe PoCoP can become more adaptive to our community’s needs and user base. These changes aim to enhance the initiative’s effectiveness, encourage sustainable growth, and prevent potential abuse. We look forward to feedback from the DAO to refine and implement this next phase.
Additionally, if this proposal is approved, we will soon release a new portal—more ergonomic and feature-rich—once it’s ready. It will include hardware wallet integration and X stats.
